There are three main types of diabetes: type 1, type 2, and gestational.

Type 1 diabetes is a disease that affects the way your body uses insulin. It’s an autoimmune disease where your body attacks the insulin-producing cells in your pancreas (the organ that makes this hormone). This can result in high blood sugar levels and damage to other organs such as kidneys or the liver.

Type 2 diabetes is caused by having too much insulin or not enough exercise to reduce your daily calorie intake. Overweight people are more likely to develop type 2 than those who are underweight or normal weight because they eat more calories than they burn off through physical activity each day (or week).

If you have this condition then you’ll need pills called oral medications along with dieting tips for managing it properly!

Diabetes

Type 1 diabetes is caused by the body’s failure to produce insulin. Insulin is a hormone that allows your body to use sugar (glucose) from carbohydrates in the food that you eat for energy or to store glucose for future use. When there is no more insulin available, then blood sugar levels rise, leading to high blood sugar and symptoms of pre-diabetes like tiredness, weight loss, and blurred vision.
